Haha. So true of every airline.

Oh my god so true! I keep thinking of our CEO/COO conference calls where people call in and ask about new uniform shirts or when will we start flying stupid stuff like FLL-MCO.

Horton will do whatever it takes to cash in $50M. Everything else is secondary.

I actually saw Horton today. We both parked at the same time and awkwardly walked into a Subway together. It was kind of an awkward silence, so I asked him if he was Tom Horton.

He said, "Yes, do you work for American?"

I lied and said yes.

There was some more awkward silence, so I broke it with, "You have a pretty nice car."

He responded, "Well, if you set your goals, you're determined, and you really work hard and put in long hours, I can get an even better one next year."

That would probably send the best message but there always seems to be the usual suspects there that have to ask questions. Ever notice that is usually ground instructors asking the questions at CLT?

I have been told by US people that ground school instructors and check airmen are required to attend the Crew News sessions in CLT.

I guess that's to ensure that a) there is an audience, and b) that it's mostly friendly.

Kind of like those televised Hugo Chávez rallies.
