Apparently there is a New Motto
Personally, the Aim High motto always made me think of Yes
Fly, Fight, Win by itself would be better. Maybe that's where we're going a la John Cougar becomes John Cougar Mellencamp becomes John Mellencamp.

I, for one, am embarrassed by the time, money, and effort wasted on this search. All that, only to come up with this ridiculous "motto." Seriously? "Aim High...Fly, Fight, Win?" Just how long is the pause between the two slogans? Should I verbalize the "dot dot dot" when saying it to someone? Or should I just roll it all together into one unintelligible sentence? This does absolutely nothing to inspire any feelings of loyalty, admiration, or pride in my service. Flat out embarrassing. I'm not even sure what else to say about it.

Thr Strategic Air Command motto in the early 60s was "Peace is Our Profession." We got a new "realistic" Wing Commander who said "your mission is to bomb the living crap out of whoever I send you after." It never became official but is gave us a sense of mission.

Yet another chapter in the USAF's muddled attempts to find a new identity and heritage, because the old (and actual) one is too politically incorrect for the "everyone is a warrior" crowd.
Please, do us a favor HAF -- just stop. You're not helping anything. In fact, if you want to make a real difference in USAF culture for the better, spend some of that money to invent a time machine capable of going back and stopping the McPeak train derailment and the aftermath of Tailhook '91.
