Did they say if it would be mainline though? What I've heard is that the % of mainline to regional would flip flop. I hope not, I'd wish PHX would grow and keep folks out of CLT. That seems to be where all our merger partners want to migrate to.

AAA was no "Big boys arena" as they had one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peal! If winning the lottery means that I have the second lowest pay in the industry, second only to the east then by all means take the ticket back because its a dud.

Those A340s he was looking at were for the new US Airways, not the new AWA formed by the combination of AWA and ATA.

Neither of us were big boys. We were both also-rans. Thing is, you guys think you were like Delta. No, wait. Delta filed Chp 11 in 2005 and you guys thought you would sail through one of the roughest periods in airline history unscathed. You think you were better than DL. And SW, you were going to kick their rears too, right?

Both sides need to realize that the merger saved BOTH airlines. Listen to Doug Parker.

It's a good thing for the rest of AWA employees that you were not the CEO of AWA. You have to have money to pick up pieces, even at fire sale prices. AWA didn't have any. They put zip, zero, zilch, natta into the US merger. It was funded by money raised by outside sources.

Over and over Parker has told you guys this. Makes you feel better to receive the windfall feeling differently, huh?

You are really having issues tonight huh maybe its time you got laid! I take everything Parker says with a grain of salt. I know not to hang my hat on his words because what he says to the west is the polar opposite of what he tells you in the east. Now you guys on the other hand are very quick to point out that "Parker said this and Parker said that". When you grow up you will learn that ceo's are known for talking out of both sides of their mouths.

Now lets discuss this fire sale comment seeing as this is what has your dander up tonight. Its not a secret that USEast was on the ropes and about to die. That didnt happen BECAUSE of Parker and AWA! No other carrier out there was going to touch USAir, not Delta, NWA, AA, UAL no one. Today you are still employed as a major airline pilot as a direct result of Parker and AWA and there is no two ways about it period end of that story and please dont make me dig up the articles to further embarrass you.

Now are we clear? If so lets get back to being civil

So- Does the MOU take effect AFTER the DOT approves the merger? After a decision re seniority? AFTER AMR is out of bankruptcy? Just how much longer can DP drag this out?

And WD, Nobody knows for sure- but I think that had AWA never happened and USAirways had been sold off in pieces or even if they had gone belly up- I would have been better off. I rue the day when Piedmont merged with USAir and I rue the day that USAirways merged with America West. It has always been just enough to keep me hanging on. However, I do not need to get "laid." I am fine, thank you.

It was one small word (fire sale) that got R57's hair standing up on his back. I even said at that time of the post that it was not meant to be nasty.

We must refuse to sign anything without getting, in writing, an end to LOA 93. An immediate end to LOA 93, STARTING AT THE TIME OF SIGNING, must be non- negotiable. We can settle the NIC after the DOT approves the merger or end LOA 93 and we can settle it quickly right now. If Parker wants/needs a merger he must make a good faith effort. He has nothing to lose if he is negotiating in good faith. END LOA 93 NOW.

I really hope you understand that no one on the west side will support you on that. Now if you are serious and want our help then accept responsibility for your actions accept the award as written or we wont lift a finger to help. My guess is and its only a guess here is that anyone with 5 or less years left with take the MOU and all AWA pilots will so that really means what 600 east are needed to get the 50%. Hey I would love to see LOA93 go away but I need to see the east imposed fence on us hit the ground and be gone and that means accept the NIC and lets get this done. Balls in east court for now.

Not being a smart A-but I am not sure that we need your support- at least not your 100% support. There is a chance that any defectors from the East could be off set with defectors from the West. I am certainly not sure which way the wind is blowing- so many desperate people on all sides. Still USAPA needs to put it out there.
