American interviews and class dates

It's not just the fact that they haven't had new hires in a while, it's because of attrition as well. Most of the guys who are retiring are Captains, meaning more people move to the left seat, requiring more to move from other fleets into FO seats and so on. Training departments at all the legacies are going to be churning at full capacity for some time.

Currently down here in training. We were told that after the march 18th class that there will only be one class in April and one in May. School house is a tad backed up on most fleets. Most our class has an average of 3-4 weeks off after Indoc.
They also took a break from interviews this week as well to catch up.
Y'all waiting should hear something soon. No news is normally good news.

Yeah, I can't quite figure if the Bus is that great or the 75/76 is that bad. It would take a WHOLE lotta one or the other to get me to choose LGA over MIA!

In our case it all came down to QOL commuting for all. The LGA folks either lived in NYC area or that was the easier commute. All the folks that bid the 80 lived in or near DFW. It all depends on the makeup of the class. For us on the 76 , the 2 sr folks that bid it live in Miami and by default it was what was left for the rest of us. I will say talking to leadership on the fleet, that the variety of flying is going to be a blast on the 75/76. Should make up for the extra effort required in training.

Surely, our interview group calls will be made this coming week. Personally, I'd love the 75/76 in MIA, but not sure I'd want to sacrifice the line number seniority as a result of the longer training program. At this point, I'm just hoping to join you on the line soon, Diesel!

Nope...seniority is based on when you complete training. Crazy, I know.
