What if the two employers are US Air and AA? I don't imagine you'd really want to **** off AA if a fella chose US Air for an earlier class date, right?

Be careful of the bridges you burn. There is a thread going right now on the regional side about Delta blacklisting guys that no show for Endeavor.

Take the earliest class date, even if it's one minute ahead of the other company.

I'm dead serious. There will be a seniority dogfight, but for newhires, it will be based on the day of hire if not minutes.

I'm over 20 years now at AA and let me be very clear, I'm still kicking myself every month for the one year I "promised" my corporate job not to leave for the airlines. I should have left, paid them the $25K for the Type Rating and not eaten the $250K and counting difference it really cost me.

If anyone is on the fence about money and promises in their current job, leave them with $$ on the nightstand to cover the cost.

Seconds count with seniority numbers. Sometimes it's the matter of years on furlough.

Loyalty is dead.

Exactly. US today or AA tomorrow? Take US today. The hiring teams understand this.

This exactly. Anyone hired after 2/14/13 and especially 11/13/13 range needs to go to the first class. That part of this integration should be simplistic. Get the soonest DOH possible for the combined company. Especially as its all AA now!

Question

When applicants apply (duh, sorry) to AA, does AA put a name of them on some board somewhere aka rumored-SWA style for all to see, and for "input" from current employees ?
