Former flight attendant now regional pilot interviewed. Where how the company tracks that I'm not sure. Long story short is expect the first couple sessions to be folks with strong connections to AA

I dunno....maybe when you input your employment background you'd possibly put something about having been a former AA employee somewhere in your history?

Maybe you'll be in the next set of invites. Don't lose hope yet...it's just begun
Just got the email invite to interview today! Took the video interview on the 19th (I think). Patience is apparently the key...

Any chance we can move this thread to the main major forum?

Does everyone who applies, and meets the general requirements, eventually get an invitation to do a video interview? Or, is it as I suspect, offered to selected candidates that make it through the first cut? i.e. Best candidates based on application.

I ask this because my connection at American is certain everyone gets to do a video interview. Without seeming ungrateful or rude toward him - I just don't think that could be the case.

Anyone know?

I'm sure everyone will eventually get the video interview, but with 10,000 applications and plans to hire 1,500 over the next 5 years, it could be quite a wait unless, like you said, you are a top candidate in their eyes.
