Trak - actually AA has always used the day you get your ID (ie become an employee) as your DOH.
Completion of training is when you got your seniority number(occupational seniority date????) .
So that's how everyone shows up on day one and gets the same DOH at AA. The jobs listed have the finish date. The oldest guy gets to choose whatever training slot that's on the board. If he takes the one that finishes last he'd be the junior guy in his class due to how occupational(?) seniority date is assigned.
So the issue is how does the SLI correctly adjust for DOH vs seniority date for the AA guys? Some guys might have a three or four month diffference between DOH and completion of training (scheduled date, sick, extra training, doesn't change the scheduled date).

C5,
As was stated, DOH starts the day you start class. Right now you have a conditional job offer. If another 911 were to happen, you'd basically not have a job or a job offer anymore, which is why IMO it's important to keep pursuing other Airlines while you wait. If the music stops, you want a seat somewhere.
