The day you show up for class. AA has always been the day you completed training. Everyone that was hired since the end of 2013 will become DOH.

Trak - actually AA has always used the day you get your ID (ie become an employee) as your DOH.

Completion of training is when you got your seniority number(occupational seniority date????) .

So that's how everyone shows up on day one and gets the same DOH at AA. The jobs listed have the finish date. The oldest guy gets to choose whatever training slot that's on the board. If he takes the one that finishes last he'd be the junior guy in his class due to how occupational(?) seniority date is assigned.

So the issue is how does the SLI correctly adjust for DOH vs seniority date for the AA guys? Some guys might have a three or four month diffference between DOH and completion of training (scheduled date, sick, extra training, doesn't change the scheduled date).

Anyone know the dates and/or class sizes projected for the near future?

I have no issue with moving post-merger AA hires to a DOH-based seniority. Sure, a few of them might jump ahead of me based on that but it's the right thing to do and makes the most sense.

Default APA

I'm surprised APA didn't agree to move US Airways hires to the OCC date. I still expect that to happen...

Thanks Slice. But my DOH on my ID is from 2007 when I got hired at AE. I wish I was on 8 year pay

I was thinking the same thing, and then the company could delay our LOS pay raises every year. I don't think there are easily available records of training completion though since it never mattered, so I think the APA will be stuck with changing AA new hires over to DOH based seniority.

C5,

As was stated, DOH starts the day you start class. Right now you have a conditional job offer. If another 911 were to happen, you'd basically not have a job or a job offer anymore, which is why IMO it's important to keep pursuing other Airlines while you wait. If the music stops, you want a seat somewhere.

That's my point, you became an employee, and got a DOH date, in 2007. That's when you showed up at AMR. F/a's on the pilot list have 25 yr pins after 10 yrs as a pilot.
