I was in the June 17 class. I also got CLT AB on the August bid but I'm being held. There seems to be a randomness to who goes to class when. Don't be too bummed about not being held. The Oct lines suck. The TX flying is greatly reduced.

If I lived in CLT I'd be stoked but I don't. The only solace I have is the commute is a bit easier and I have a sweet crashpad that cost me nil. From what I’ve heard they’re so short on AB FOs in CLT that I should expect to be used almost every day, and if you’re junior like me we’ll have the honor of flying 7-8 redeyes a month. Fun Fun.

I did my time at the regionals putting in almost a decade flying feed, I wouldn't go back even if I was bidding within the top 10% at my Brand X. It's true what they say, your worse day at a Legacy/Major will always beat your best day at a Regional. Although the most fun I've had flying was when I was a CA on the E120 flying up and down the west coast from SAN to SEA and as far east as DEN. Beautiful, fun, challenging, great people with amazing overnights in places like SBP, MRY, CLD, OTH, MFR, RDM, ACV plus many more while flying a great airplane. That was a long long time ago......good times, great memories and many lifelong friendships.

I was a pretty damn unlucky 190 FO. lol I was awarded CLT AB FO on the August 1st Perm bid and placed in class on July 13th, almost 3 weeks prior to my award date. So instead of holding weekends off on the 190 I'm now commuting to SCR in CLT with a 4am RAP and no weekends off. About half of those awarded the bus on the 8/1 Perm Bid were assigned a class within 2-4 weeks after the bids were published and there was no rhyme or reason to who was selected. ][/QUOTE]

Well, what bases did they go to ? Resource Planning has to staff PHL, DCA and CLT Airbus - you can thank ALPA for selling out your seniority 20 years ago.

Nice touch tho, being awarded the position YOU bid, then *****ing about it.

Kudos.

Way to go! You really set me straight. hahahahaha! Have a sense of humor buddy. You must be a real joy to fly with. Sadly with these boards there's always someone who's incapable of reading peoples postings correctly and is always willing to show their a*#. I added "lol" to the beginning of the posting to set the tone so reread it now with a pilots sense of humor and try to note the irony. Although if you're not familiar with the way things have been progressing here over the last couple years when pilots change equipment you might not be able to see the irony. Also please try not the be an APC Forum troll, nobody likes a troll. Oh, and learn to quote. lol! Note I posted "lol" again meaning that was a joke.

Cheers.

Some of us still waiting years upon years to be in those shoes! And be super happy to have that life compared to where we are at. The waiting is killing me lol.

Please don't blow my words out of proportion and don't be one of those APC posters who foam at the mouth to counter others posting. I deeply sympathize with your current frustrations. I too waited years and years...... And years. Maybe longer than you, maybe. and don't think for one second I'm not happy to be where I am. I'm tickled pink to have gotten on when and where I did. I was only joking about the simple inside fact that 99% of the E190 pilots who bid over to the AB or 757 have been held for 6-12 months and I was not. The difference is those held continue to benefit from the great 190 FO seniority plus receive AB or 75 pay. That's a pretty sweet deal I'm sure you'll agree. Now if I wasn't willing to leave my bidding position on the 190 for the bus I never would have bid it. I was prepared but prior to my Perm Bid 100% of the transitioning 190 FOs were held for a long long time. Which stood to reason I would be as well. Regardless I gambled and lost but still won. It's irony in many many ways but it seems it's lost on all but the 190 pilots who are about to or have transitioned.

Again I sympathize with all of you and if it were up to me we would be flowing less that half of what we're currently flowing from Envoy. But sadly it's not and contractually it is what it is. Hopefully APA's successful in their efforts.

Wish I had that info for you but I don't. I do know we should see a slight uptick in the 4Q of off the street new hires making their way into class. By 1Q16 the numbers will start to greatly increase since the overwhelming majority of retreads will have been trained by the end of the year freeing up room for poolies and more hiring.
