Great point! Hopefully though in 28 years we will have as many or more WB's! Actually I'll just be happy having an airline career that has zero bankruptcies. Keep it simple.

Another good thing to shoot for is zero furloughs

Can't upload the picture but as of March 23, 2016 the hiring numbers were as follows...

Flow: 98
Civilian OTS: 20
Military: 61

New Hire class started this past Tuesday.. 36 total, mostly flow and MIL, 10 recall, 4 civilian OTS. April 19th class is all flow and recall..

Side Note: Pilots in the pool received an email the other to expect class late this year early next year.

I am 38 and was the youngest in my LUS class by 4 years.
I ran a rough hack at the numbers and when I retire at age 65 I should be between 150-200 if everything stayed how it is. At United I would have been 765ish.
I'm a Jan 2016 hire.
I was hired two years prior to you and will retire years after you (as long as my medical holds) and will be around 250 IIRC. I don't think your numbers are accurate.

US had a ton of young guys hired in the 2012-2014 time frame before AA took over all the hiring in late 2014.

No need to argue.. Simply go to aapilots.com (not sure if USAirways guys have access) click on personal & profile (left side) than click on seniority calculator (under helpful links, right side)... It will pull up your seniority number at age 65. You can also view age per fleet...USAirways does have some younger FOs so depending on your age there will be a slight difference...

Currently AA has 59 FOs younger than 35 yrs old system wide.

He must just be looking at the LAA side. LAA didn't have many new hires from late 2001 to 12/2013. I'm a 45 year old 01/14 hire and would top out at 376 by today's calculation. I'm very aware that post SLI that number will increase significantly.

Where did you find your retirement number? Are you on the US or AA side?
