TO be honest the whole blazer with stripes thing is outdated to me. We're not navy ship captains.

I like what Virgin America has done with uniforms. It would be nice we could lose the tie like they have.

Maybe they were common place when airlines operated radial engines but they certainly haven't been seen since then. If you want to dress like this, go fly in the wilds of Alaska or fly a float plane in the Caribbean.

Ok, there was supposed to be a little sarcasm in that description of the older pilot look.

Really, I think the current US uniform is fine, with the option to wear what type of jacket you prefer. The only thing I would like to see is the option to ditch the necktie in summer or perhaps a company polo shirt.

I think we all agree the vendor stinks.

You want to wear a company polo shirt? Good lord, we don't work at Walmart. Come on man!

As soon as we stop dressing as professionals we will stop getting paid as professionals. Virgin American pilots look awful.

Really because in every profession everyone has been dressing down and making more. When was the last time you saw parker wear a tie other than a presser?

Ties look goofy with a short sleave shirt.

If you are waiting for the Virgin look I think you picked the wrong airline. I surely hope so.
