Travel transition to AA Rules?
#43

More than a few of us are hoping your influence will have a positive influence on our groups DFW Flight cubicle dwellers including giving a few of them a Bidsheet since they haven't seen one in 20 years.
If had had to guess I'd bet there is so much work and more important merging issues involved that it would be too tough to change everything at once, including some people in certain positions.
From what I've heard I believe we might forget about silly dinosaur cockpit call outs and worry about getting your layover hotels as the standard vs the AA side.

You'll get no argument from a lot of AA guys on plenty of stuff. You guys want to do PA's, have at them.

Looks like I started some thread creep with my thump on the nose to frisco. Sorry about that. I think I'll start a new thread called "Why do we do this?" Sometimes things seem odd until you are shown the logic of it.
It's seems that AA suffers from not invented here syndrome. Like a lot of companies. I get the adopt and go for big things, I've been through two disastrous res system migrations, but for everyday procedures I think we should look for the best. Most things fall under "many ways to skin a cat", but some just seem odd. Like using 10,000' AFL instead of MSL. That will be my first under the new thread.

Yeh, but the F/O gets to hang the AA flag out the window. (It's a way back thing)

Has anybody run into problems yet?
I cannot check my wife in for an international trip. TravelUS says that I have to check-in at the airport. ***?
The other weird issue is the time of the check in. If you plan to fly from A to B to C (C being a European destination), it seems the TravelUS will not let you check in until the European flight departure.
Have they hired Obamacare programmers? Or do I *really* need a break?
