If the bank doesn't have a problem with his payments why do you????
What about the reps paying alimony and/or child support?? Why aren't they posting their financial situation??

I've browsed the contract quickly. Didn't notice right away of a retirement contribution. Is there a contribution like Delta/Uniteds 15 or 16%?

Supplement F(6), page 237 of the 2013 MTA on the APA website.

Even as a hypothetical it's completely irrelevant and ridiculous talk

In some places you can't even find a house for $500k. Where I'm at in CA $500k gets you a 30 year old 3 bed, 2 bath 2000 sq ft house. I think a $50k car is more extravagant than a $500k house.

Time to move....there are plenty of areas where 500K equates to a McMansion

Of course, it's another perfect example of just what awaits us in 2020 and it's a recipe for disappointment and faliure.

The criticism leveled by many for this rep (and to be fair, other reps have been criticized for X, Y and Z) wasn't about this money per se, just that they believed someone willing to take on that much debt considering their income might not be as objective as necessary. At any rate, this issue is simply a minor footnote to the library of problems this association and pilot group face going forward and considering the past and now present, the future looks to be another certain disaster all but solidifying this pilot group as the permanent "also ran's" in the three-way compensation race among the big three legacy pilot groups.

I think I would want to know if he was capable of negotiating a hooker group rate for pilots. If he could weasel the hooker then maybe he could be a good man in a pinch with the gang of 6.
