Bump. How many OTS folks are getting interviews? What are the backgrounds/credentials? I would assume still mostly fighter dudes?

I'm an OTS civilian interviewee.

Currently flying corporate, regionals previously. I believe I was the only civilian in my interview group and most were fighter pilots.

Nemed, congratulations! That is a huge accomplishment. I sent you a PM.

Can you OTS new hires shed some light on your application process?
Does American still require you to create and apply online the company website as well as do the airline pilot credentials or just the credentials site? When I click on the pilot section under careers it just goes directly to the credentials sight and no sign of applying on the AA site. Thx

I only applied on the pilot credentials site. Updated my app every month for about 6 months and then got the invite for the video interview. The next day got an email requesting more info. The day after that got an email for a face to face interview 2 weeks later. My interview group has been waiting for a week and half for the outcome.

Sweet thanks.
What were your credentials for ots? I don't see myself being hired as as FO in a non wholly owned carrier, but it's nice to see some off the street guys getting a slot and not just the flow guys.

Thanks!

Slim,

The gouge on the video Skype has not changed.

We have a full mock practice setup in our AA packet for clients that includes each question. It allows you to practice the video portion on your own computer, as many times as you would like, until taking the actual one.
