To clear up a few points.....

If the F/O had 6 years of seniority at UAL in 2000, he is about seniority #4,000 at UAL now out of 12,500 (NOT "pulling gear on a 777, but a 767 Captain).

It's SCAB....not scap.

Your response makes me believe I hit a heartstring of a true scab. Sorry about the grammar, I wrote it on the fly. Why are you on an aa forum don't you have a family or a loved one ? Or are you in a Chicago crash pad at number 12,500 as you describe .

You are correct, I forgot he was on the other side by then. He was paid through the ESOP to leave UA in 1994, his minions were still around though. In any case, the advisors thought the economics of the 2000 merger were too good to pass up. The DOJ agreed with that assessment, but they also thought it would be anticompetitive and said no. Initially, the UA employees were told they could kill the deal, but later, Goodwin said he would not let that happen.

Wolf made money by polishing the pig and then selling it, he did quite well for himself.

I don't know why you're talking crap about United pilots on the AA forum. Wasn't going to let a bunch of ignorance slide...

I too am UAL. I'm a '96 hire. As has been said your post is ludicrous. I would also point out that we did not have a Newark base but a JFK base, and I was commuting at the time using USAir regularly, and my recollection of sentiment was the exact opposite. Most USAir crews I commuted with out of LGA were pretty adamant about how senior they were going to be in the combined company because of their superior hire date.

Not sure why folks like you feel a need to make up stories that are bald-faced lies unless you are simply trying to "stir the pot", but then your choice of a forum name says a lot . . .

Well I think this sums it up rather nicely. This is the type of attitude that we at AWA have had to deal with for 10 years. There are a few in the east that feel they will be rewarded for their behavior but I am not all that sure about it as I have been hearing contradicting accounts. This latest move by our illustrious management of announcing a massive east bid to be filled in Jan is yet another move that seems to have been made in and effort to calm the waters in anticipation of the coming storm. Time will tell indeed.

We have had our DOH for ten years. We have had our attrition for ten years. We have had many vacancy bids for ten years.

Compared to the stagnant waters of a fishbowl, I'ld say the waters over here have been pretty turbulent, and one more bid just adds to that turbulence.

Yes all pilots on the west are saints I could list the occurrences but I don't have hours. The latest bid is because people are retiring and those seats need to be filled. So your saying that the company put out another bid because the east is gonna get screwed in the Sli? What about the bids 5 years ago that came out, not everything is a conspiracy of the west finally getting payback. I guarentee you if Phoenix was profitable and not gonna shrink there would be new bids out there also with new hires . Arbitrators have guidelines to stick within if you think east pilots with 30+ years are gonna be pulling gear for your captains out of "vendetta revenge" then you will be solely disappointed. The arbitrators have very little emotion towards this, remember they see years in service and aircraft jobs brought to the merger they don't wear 675 dollar ties signing logbooks nicolau.

This is comforting to me as you are usually wrong and can't see the forest for the trees.

These bids have been planned for a while. You cannot turn a ship on a dime and the attrition ship is full speed ahead on the east. I heard your boys tried to stop the last few east bid and were told to cease and desist. Ask your reps.

BTW, the 75/76 on the east has been in steady decline since the merger. This bid reflects the movements of east 75s west to replace the old west ones. I don't see any complaints on that.

Even if the nic was implemented tomorrow it's not worth half of what it was 10 years ago. The east had doh for 10 years with no bump no flush. That means the west would only take slots as vacancies open. That "revised nic" on the west's website is laughable they just published that to keep you donating and fighting the good fight.

It cracks me up to hear west pilots hoping we get screwed or stapled. If I get screwed on the list they will be working at Home Depot.
