The funding is for expenses already incurred through the SLI.

But go ahead and cry cry cry. I don't think that you will find much sympathy with a 5-10 year jump in seniority. Crybabies

Wait a minute... Your east sisters are proclaiming the Nic is dead in absolute terms with their ISL leaks on here. So, how can the west have 5-10 year jump in seniority?
Dumb. But funny!

My own personal excuse is based upon four phrases that the EPSIC chooses to use in their latest plea for funding:

1) aggressively represent East pilots
2) Protecting and
3) advocating East pilot seniority
4) the defense of your seniority

When the ISL final award has been issued, then I will determine if they have lived up to their stated purposes listed above. That will determine if I will make any contribution for the "work" that they have done, and in what amount I feel is appropriate.

What a crock! The result is up to the panel. The committee did a good job, especially in the time allowed and under the circumstances. But you're going to wait and see if it suits your needs and if not let your brothers and sisters carry the weight.

The committee has already done that, pay the bill.

This is a quintessential pilot post. Please let those you fly with know.

Trent890,

Have you seen the East exhibits? What they accomplished from scratch is remarkable. You already have the indications you need to contribute.

Boeing 314 put that much more diplomatically than I did.

Guys, the bill is due. I wish things had been differently. I wish that USAPA had granted the west their own committee and paid the expenses of both committees. But they didn't, got sued and lost. All that money got tied up by the west.

Our committee got up and running in no time and our attorneys agreed to represent us without knowing how they would be paid, outside of the money the company gave us. Our members spent most of the last year working for us, probably at great personal expense. They did a good job, no matter what the outcome.

In all the other mergers I've been through we were assessed prior to the start. The APA doesn't do things that way, so this is how we pay.

"Thank you for seeing me on short notice, Doctor. I must ask you not to bother sending me a bill, though. After my illness and your treatment of it have run their course, then I will determine if you have lived up to your stated purpose. That will determine if I will make any contribution for the 'work' that you have done, and in what amount I feel is appropriate."

That is a crock. FWIW, I've seen that same rationalization with certain west pilots. If we had all been like that, we'd have been dead in the water right from the start. There's always a few like that I suppose.
