I suggest East start selling a new color tie and LAA start selling another color (each non-FM Part approved) and see how long it takes the flight department to send out a requirement to abide by Part I. Then you'll find out if management is neutral in all this.
East is crazy not to do it.

Which specific East exhibits would you like me to view in order to begin changing my opinion? What they accomplished "from scratch" doesn't even pass the basic sniff test, much less exhibit any qualities of being "remarkable". The only indication I have seen from the EPSIC is their seniority proposal, and for me it represents both the best possible and worse possible outcomes. That is why it is up to the results of the ISL final award to determine if I should contribute any funds towards the EPSIC.

Just curious, was the AAPSIC proposal better for you? Can you give me a rough idea of your seniority so I can see how you were treated?

The tie is a statement grom a group. No place for it on our flight decks when management keeps telling us, "don't forget we are all on the same team."

Never said anything about a line in the sand. Just never understood why management has turned a blind eye to this. So what in Part I do we have to comply with and what do we not have to comply with? Do we get to pick and choose?

You think anyone in management cares about a tie? If you said "West pilots sabotage the airplanes" (as the unsubstantiated accusations sometimes do), heck..I'd support firing a few guys to put an end to that. East, West, NAAtive...who ever. But you're gonna let a guy's tie wind you panties in a bunch? How about a bunch of FOs clambering around in captain's stripes even after new uniforms were issued? Seems like that might be a big deal but I just smiled at them because, hey...what the heck do I care if your ego can't handle the apparent shame of not getting called "Captain" at the airport Starbucks. If you can't sit next to me because of my tie, good luck taking THAT to the CP's office...regardless of which one of us is in which seat.
I don't think the company cares either. About any of the uniforms. Looks at the black sneakers, Kohl's black chinos, pleather jackets, all sorts of ties etc. If they called out the Liberty tie they would have to do something about the rest. I hope they will on all fronts when the new uniform comes out. We collectively look like crap.

Who cares.. If it doesn't impact D-10 it doesn't matter to management.
