I'm on the US side. If you live in RDU or CLT why would you not bid CLT? RDU-CLT is incredibly easy. Actually RDU-PHL is easy as well most times of the year save for the occasional snowstorm or t-storm. 10 flights a day, most on us some on DAL. RDU-CLT is all Airbus most of the time with 2 jumpseats each. Early 5:00AM dept to CLT and late 10:00PM dept back to RDU.
RDU-DCA is bad despite the frequency because it's all RJs.
I don't know about CLT-MIA but RDU-MIA there are only a couple direct flights a day.

Both are very junior bid statuses. It looks like the most recent influx of new pilots in MIA went 737 domestic, but the differences in the two are too minimal to even be measurable in your life. One class could go one way, one could go the other.

737 lines are about 600 numbers ahead of new hires.
AB lines are closer to 1000.
Why? 737 junior trips are full of all nighters.
In either case you'd probably be able to switch equipment before you're a line holder. In 9-12 months, if things change, adapt and go. ;-)

Sorry to resurrect an older thread, but does anyone know why 50% of MIA/FO/320/I are on reserve? I looked at the 3XP for that a year ago and I was around 55%, and was looking at a really nice line. Looked at it the other day and I'd be close to the same percentage, and couldn't even get near a line. W T H is going on?

Absolutely nuts!
Only thing I can imagine is they keep a lot of reserves available on the I side because they can be used D too-but not vice versa.

Dunno. Just a WAG is that they are front loading for hiring. It used to be that way long ago when the 727FE was the new hire position.
Might also be for the PBS bidding start in June. If the bidding doesn't go well, then the indigenous natives might get their days off despite their bid award.
