Inquiring minds would like to know.....
I spoke with 3 of the Flight Support folks who will be running the interview process and the word was unanimous. The word they gave me for ties is "optional", so it's your choice. Hope this helps.

I just got off the phone with HR (DB). The HR department is getting swamped with people asking "What do I wear? Tie or no tie? Jacket required?" Out of the 36 people scheduled for an interview, all 36 have called or emailed about what to wear. The wording is very vague in the invitation. Expect the wording to be updated soon.

From what I was told, Atlas Air is looking for professional individuals. What that means to me is wear a suit and tie. You can take the jacket off when you interview because it will be hot in the room. Make sure you look good (haircut, shoes polished, etc.)

Atlas Air is trying to find somebody to attend our job fair in Chicago on Sept 8th. As soon as I hear something, I will post it. I know it will be last minute for some but I guess it will prepare you for the lifestyle at Atlas. Interviews will continue through November for positions next year.

Is that 36 people since the 13th that just put their stuff in last week?

Is there any word on when the application window might close? Good news they might be attending the job fair.

Did everyone submit their resume in a pdf?

The website doesn't specify it needs to be a pdf but the PAQ says "... along with a pdf of your resume..."

So, if an applicant ("interviewee") makes it to MIA, does Well in the interview, meets the min. listed requirements + some, and seems to be a GOOD FIT for ATLAS, does anybody "in the know" really think that the decision makers will base their hiring decision on whether the "interviewee" (applicant) wears a Tie or not?? Will the interview seriously come down to "To Tie or Not to Tie"?

After lurking in the shadows for the past few months its time for me to finally speak.
After 4 days and numerous beverages I've finally made it through all 396 pages, and I want to give a huge thanks to all the contributors. Before I started reading, I thought I wanted to work at Atlas, now I am POSITIVE this is the place I want to hang my hat.
I submitted by resume and PAQ last week so now I'll join the rest of you in the waiting game.

I look forward to chatting and partaking in a few adult beverages over the grill in MIA when we all hopefully get hired.

My background is military (retiring Jan 2013) KC-10 and currently G-Vs
