Atlas Air Hiring
Been here over a year. I was the only one in my interview group to take my jacket off and I got hired. And, on the line, we change into a polo shirt instead of wearing our button-up shirt & tie in-flight.
Each part of the interview process does have a point value. But, at the same time, think they wanna know that you're gonna fit in here...not be too stiff.
Good luck everyone. And, for God's sake, USE THE GRILL YOU NEWBS!

I will let the guys who have been here a year or two be the authority on all things Atlas, when I interviewed with Atlas over 13 years ago, we didn't freak out about a tie or conversion numbers.
Good luck to all concerned!

If you want the 747, ditch the tie as soon as you walk in the door at the Crystal Palace in MIA. And when you go to the bathroom, change into a golf shirt.
But if you want the 767, only take off your tie when behind a locked door, where no one can see you.

I interviewed last September (hired October) and the invite said business casual. Ties (or polo shirts) are NOT business casual. I wore khaki dress pants, long sleeve button-down dress shirt, and a navy-blue sportcoat. The couple of guys in my group(13) that wore ties took them off pretty quickly, and those that wore an interview suit without the tie still looked more than "business casual."
IF it says business casual, follow the directions! If not, I would go all-out with the traditional interview suit.
Now, about the "Red power tie", .... lol

By the way, I wore the same suit that I wore to my Delta interview (read very conservative). I could hardly face myself in the mirror that morning leaving for an interview without a tie on. It looked like I forgot to finish dressing. So I shoved the tie in my brief case just in case the gouge was wrong and I could throw it on in the van on the way to the interview with the other candidates. I never had to, we all were missing ties. I thought it looked ridiculous, but I was not there to make the rules. End result: Hired, wearing a conservative suit, no tie.
