I made my count a few years ago and haven't updated it. Looking at the August list there are at least 8 folks below me who'll punch out before I do which is about the difference between mine and Giant's count.

True enough, Whale...like I said in my post "even Atlas". And I was comparing the three cargo carriers to most pax/legacy/majors/LCCs, etc. I'm not under any illusions about where we stand when comparing to FDX and UPS.

All I can say is this place is better than the USAF (no additional duties, no OPRs to write, no MREs, no tents....) and better than ATA was (actually HAS a business plan and seems to FOLLOW it, pays its pilots ... in my second year last year I made the same as a 13 year 737 captain did in my last life). Flying with very good people and having a lot of fun counts for a great deal. Money may be better wearing brown or purple but variety of life here wins hands down for me.

The posts are wonderful and so very helpful. Thanks to all contributing. I truely can't wait to be a part of this great team, no matter how long I sit at the regionals...keep the great info coming guys...

Hey guys, how are they about not being able to make the face-to-face dates? The person in HR mentioned that they run 3 days of interviews per month, which may pose a problem for a guy like me who works the typical ACMI schedule with long trips. Are they understanding about deferring until the next month? Thanks!

I have heard from recent hires (April 2010 and later) that they do try to work with your schedule in that they will put you in the next group. I would certainly try not to postpone it too many times, for several reasons...mainly, that the earlier you get to Miami, the earlier you can get in the swimming pool. Second reason is that it may not work in your favor if you postpone too many times. At some point you are gonna have to get creative about how you can get to the interview while on work duties...wink, wink!!

Thanks for the quick reply! I generally have much better control of my schedule, but their dates next month probably won't jive with my schedule. They seemed very accommodating on the phone. With enough notice, I'll be able to bid around November interview dates (assuming there are any!).

Getting ahead of myself... Need to attack these 100 questions first.

Congrats on getting the call NightIP.. Good luck with the test and hopefully the interview. Would appreciate any PIREPs that you could pass along that may be helpful. Although this thread has been extremely beneficial, any new intel would be great. Im almost six weeks in after the submission of my paperwork and no phone call yet. I know that patience is a virtue but the waiting is killing me. I know Atlas is worth the wait and for sure where I want to end my career. Anyway, I will continue to study and be as well prepared as I can be. Good luck to all and thank you all so much for all the post.

Thanks
