STR8NLVL,
Congrats on getting into the pool, way to stick with it and climb the ladder!

Worldfr8dog,
Thanks for taking it upon yourself to help others come up. Although I'm not there yet, I appreciate the effort and selflessness. Hopefully there are more like you out there!

Totally agree and have noticed the Chowdry mentality several times flying the line. They are the ones willing to go without adequate catering, they are the ones violating the contract, and they are the ones who have held this place back. Good thing these guys are leaving.

Hi all,

Got the email yesterday that I am in the pool as well! I will gladly post some interview gouge soon.

As for application time to interview, I applied in February of 2012 and updated twice. Got email to take online 100 question test in January 2014 and took it two days later. Called for phone interview about 2 days after passing the test and was offered the opportunity to interview in MIA. Feb 11 interview and emailed yesterday that I was successful and will be contacted for a class date. Good luck to all and see you guys out there!

Total time 11000
PIC 3600
3 years of college but no degree
Have a corporate, regional and heavy jet Intl background.

People make it sound like UA, AA/US, and Delta are just handing out jobs to anyone that applies. While I agree with you that people are getting hired, there is still a lot of competition and it isn't exactly easy to get a job at one of these places. I have over 10K TT, 4.5K+ RJ PIC, letters of rec and my phone isn't ringing.

After 10+ years at a regional I couldn't agree more. I'm impatiently waiting for my phone to ring for a class date and couldn't be more excited. No more commuting, travel the world, and the potential to make more money in the long run. Hopefully, it will get even better with a new contract in a couple years.

Default stock price

For those of you already employed by Atlas, any insights as to why the stock is performing so poorly? There was an adjustment when the aircraft from BA were returned but the price never seemed to recover. Concerns over the CBA? Worldwide widebody freight market? Thoughts?

It looks like Atlas updated their career page.

It bounces up and down in a channel between the low 30s and high 40s. The bad press with the LCF coupled with the return of the GSS probably hurt the price. However, the company did a pretty big stock buy back in 2013 and still booked almost $100 million in profit(93.84 million to common stock per Yahoo Finance)

Simply put, the company has these airplanes making money year in and out. I would argue that most financial analysts are used to looking at passenger airlines or operations like FedEx and don't know how to properly value our market segment.

Our management never seem to overestimate how much they're going to make and always keep their powder dry looking for opportunities to grow. Folks may b!tch about the CBA on occasion but this company knows how to make a buck.

It's interesting to note the lower total time for graduates of a 142 school with a turbojet rating. I have always felt the 121 training I have received far surpasses the 142 training I have been through.
