Just read that a 7 year FedEx FO left for AA. Hoping that the pilot hiring situation will make the next Atlas contract better and quicker to get agreed upon.

Also what flight benefits are offered besides jumpseat....i'm talking about for my family - ID90'd , ZED's ? Just for me, the mrs and kids? Or parents too?

Thanks for a great thread
Cigna is the insurance....too many options to list. It not the cheapest but seems ok. ID90's on Delta for sure. Not positive on others but somebody said SW? No ZED. I think delta is for immediate family only, no parents. You'll earn enough miles on your selected airline to get tickets a few times a year times a year though.

Wow, sure would like to know his reason. 7yrs, you have a pretty established lifestyle. Tough starting over after that much time invested, while not being forced to start over, like myself. Wish the FedEx FO the best..

New base awards are out and it seems cvg was reduced and hsv increased.

New base bid also shows 33 new hire slots in ANC, but that may have been there previously.

I interviewed last week and the information listed on the forum was excellent. No hint as to how many needed. We were told we would get a response within two weeks. Kinda gets your attention every time the phone chimes with an email alert.

Default Atlas Air Hiring

Just trying gauge my chances but I'm coming up on 2000 tt/ 700 ME turbine, currently right seat at a regional flying crjs and just want to move on to something better. Would I stand a chance of getting a call? Also I'm former Army enlisted helicopter mechanic with 3 trips to the desert if that counts for anything. I'm going to apply regardless but just trying to get a feel for what my chances are.

Doesn't seem to be too many RJ guys getting hired lately. The vast majority hired within the last year have had previous ACMI or Mil experience. That said, there are all kinds of backgrounds here including a ton of prior enlisted with similar experience. I certainly wouldn't be deterred from applying.

Any specific reasoning behind that? I know the HR selection process is a guess but are those pilots used to the schedule already? Have the heavy time already?
