The company said that on their initial look it appears the union's compensation proposal “features rates and provisions that are outside of our competitive environment.” So don’t hold your breath. Meanwhile our CEO has been making twice the median compensation for companies with ~2 billion market capitalization.

anyone know who these returnees are contacting to get looked at? Former SA, applied back in March when this all started and according to hiring website my application has never been looked at (or whatever “hidden” means for status)...

Interviewing people experienced enough that they don’t need to study a weather chart three days prior.
Sorry for being snarky.

What's unclear to me is why anyone talking to us about this now, and with no specific information. The opinion that matters at this point is the arbitrator's. We haven't seen the proposal which was made, so what is gained by saying "An unspecified number is too much of not enough!"?

Obviously both sides need our opinions swayed on something. Otherwise we wouldn't be getting these emails. If we have no vote on the contract, is this an attempt to influence internal politics?

Seems odd.

maybe they meant they intend to give the pilots more since the company is making a higher rev/block hour than any legacy carrier did in 2019 by about 150 percent

Good point, they could have just said they’ll look it the numbers. I can see two reasons. The company can say “If the union would just be reasonable we could have this done.” Which would seem to be a divide and conquer program against the union. Or they might be trying to set some limits for the arbitrator.

Calling all pilots to join a protest to protect the careers of all Southern and Atlas pilots. Recently the company decided not to back a pilot who was the victim of criminal activity and covid 19. As pilots we are all part of one family and we have a responsibility to one another. We are organizing both on a local and national basis to fight for this pilot and others to come in the future. We are living through one of the most difficult times in our history as a country, now is the time to rise up and protect the brotherhood. Please message me for details.

I am not a regular poster on here so I believe that I have to post on a few threads before I am allowed to start one. Find out how you can help and unite behind another fellow pilot.
Traditionally a pilot has had to go out of their way in a fairly spectacular fashion to get fired at Southern. There’s probably more to your story. There are already Union mechanisms in place to represent the pilots.
