Of course - as was mentioned: “the devil is in the details” - this is only for the 74. The company is asking the arbitrator to maintain the current percentage step downs for the other a/c. Which notably puts Atlas 777 pay well below Omni & K4 & 767 pay even farther below K4 rates. So they dangle the 74 carrot (even though it’s still pretty sad) but then maintain the bottom of the barrel rates on everything else. Welcome to the Atlas “Thank you sir may I have another” style of benevolence.

This is actually misinformation. The rates are not based on current book percentage drops as you mentioned. In fact, the proposed rate is nowhere near the current book differences. While I’m not saying the companies proposal is good, please do research. If you are at Atlas, you have access to both proposals.

I stand corrected. I shouldn’t have said they were the same percentages - rather simply percentage drops from the 74 rates - which still places them less than our much smaller competitors. (Although unless I’m mistaken it appears the 737 rates do use approximately the same percentage differential that the current book figures.)

I think if I were an arbitrator who had the huge job of settling half the contract against a ticking clock, I'd probably take both proposals and simply cut right down the middle, not make any value judgements and say, Here it is, Now where is my check?
That assumes no prejudice. If this guy is prejudiced towards the company, well, forget it. In that case my retirement planning get kicked up to the next level.
