This brings to mind a classic story from years ago.

We used to stay in a very swanky hotel in TPE where beers in the hotel bar were $10, while down the alley the Taiwan beer was about $2/qt.

One of our young airman had just passed his PIC line check and was buying beers in the hotel bar.

One of the old crusty ex Legacy Captains walked in and the freshly minted Captain invites him for a free beer.
The veteran’s response was;

“Your are buying beers in this bar? You are not ready yet to be a true airline Captain”

He turned and walked out to accent his point.

So I'm seeing that the 767 the classes are a bit backed up and people are being sent home after systems. Is that happening with the other fleets. I'm transitioning to the 74 soon and was wondering if that was backed up as well. Also, any word on OE wait times?

Regarding PRIA Background check. Can someone who has joined Atlas with only Forigen Airline experience share some information how the process was. What happenes if the ex Forigen Airline chose not to respond to PRIA request as they have no obligation unlike an Airline in the US.

Does anyone know if the training is backed up for all fleets or is it just the 767? Also any reasons why the 767 training is backed up? Thanks

Do you get a shorter version of the training if your already type rating and currently actively flying the 777 or does everyone go through the same training regardless of experience and ratings?

No reduced course. I'm pretty sure the FAA mandates the education criteria.

The Civil Aviation Authority that licensed you to fly in their country will respond to a request of verification of license and if there is any failure on your records with them. It is part of the ICAO members agreement. Also now pretty much all airlines do deliver some sort of verification as well. At least the most organized and structured Airlines do. So they will get something back from them although some of these CAA's and Airlines abroad work at their own pace.

The JCAB of Japan took about 6 weeks to send my records when I came back to the US.

Also, I forgot to mention. If you were hired through an agency, PARC, RISHWORTH or similar, they also will help you to get verification of employment and records. It is part of their services when you sign a contract using them.
