Atlas Initial Training
#272
HR has a couple events this month. FAPA in Phoenix this weekend and then an Open House at the training center in MIA on the...14th I believe.
Wouldn't hurt to make an appearance if you can swing it.

The question you seem to be asking is how does one get their resume noticed so that a phone screen is offered.
This may be the mystery, but as mentioned there are methods/approaches the probably help. These include;
Find someone who works here or someone who knows someone here and seek an internal referral
Attend a hiring seminar as suggested
Plumb social media, Pilots of Atlas Air Recruiting on FaceBook is one place to start
One method that would likely be most successful is to PM me and find out where to send $5000 in unmarked bills 😂

Hiring has stayed pretty consistent over the last few years, with between 450-850 hired each year. There are interviews held either 3 days a week during heavier times and 2 days a week otherwise.

I asked the same question and was told they use a couple different hotels and that they do not allow pets.

R2 (Downtown Hotel Reserve) and R3 (Airport Reserve done at an Airport Hotel) often pay the most due to CRT (Duty Rig), although it is not guaranteed.
It is a paid commute to base, with a paid hotel in base, earning CRT and per diem the entire time.
Secondary Lines are what you should be wondering about. I have a buddy on the 747 that is on his 2nd 60 day bid, stuck with all Secondary lines, but he bid out of ANC before OE to more senior bases. They are typically minimum guarantee, 17 days available to work, sitting at home doing a 1700 UTC schedule check for work begining at least the "day after tomorrow." If assigned a trip, Gateway could be "tomorrow." You cannot be on reserve. You cannot be held in base with no follow on trips.

Our Reserve is not like other airlines reserve. R1, home reserve awaiting OE, yes, but after that you are more likely to have a Secondary Line than Reserve. R1 home reserve is used in a few other situations as a schedule filler, like before or after a vacation or training event etc.
