Very knowledgeable and specific information: Sky jet and Dera just might be in the business.

Tailgate thefts have nothing to do with supply chain issues. They’ve been a target in Miami for many years. Easy/quick to steal and expensive to replace. The stolen ones can easily be sold for half price of a new one nearly instantly.

There was a pilot about 6-7 years ago in new hire training that had his tailgate stolen..got it replaced by his insurance company…and had the new one stolen all while he was in new hire training. Both thefts occurred in the Marriott complex parking lot. Others have lost wheels/tires, taillights, headlights.. The word back then was that there were people working security for marriott that were in on it.

Yes/no.

Supply chain issues have increased their price by quite a bit, even though just like you say, stealing them has been a thing for a long time. But their price has almost doubled in the past year.

It's Miami, the "security guard" at the front is either asleep, or is part of it.

Fun places to stay?
Sure, you got your CBT’s finished?
Haven't gotten those, yet, what's the time commitment to complete?

Default Am I biting off more than I can chew?

Hey everyone,

I’m looking for an opinion on applying to Atlas for my first FO job. I have a friend who skipped the Regionals and went straight there with his 1500 TT (No Turbine) after getting his ATP. I’m told that the training is hard but that the quality of life is great. I have a few really good referrals so I’m hoping for the best as I progress through my aviation career. I have a few questions…

1. Atlas’ new job posting is saying they won’t interview until I’m 100 hours from my ATP mins. I have a regional airline interview coming up and my coworker who just went there received a CJO. Is it bad to accept a CJO and then cancel if I (hopefully) get an interview and decide to go Atlas last minute? BTW I’m about 900 TT at the moment.

2. Will the training be significantly harder if I have no prior 121 time?

3. I hear that the 737 doesn’t fly all that much. Will I regret not going somewhere where I can quickly build time?

Any advice is greatly appreciated,

Thanks so much

Go to a regional if this is your first type rating, airline job, turbine powered aircraft, etc. Atlas training is not set up to take someone from light piston to 737 FO.

Go to a Regional airline. Get through a regional training program first, do some regional flying first. Then if you want, then apply to Atlas.

Atlas isn’t a time building airline. On the 737, you will not fly much. The training program isn’t designed for first airline folks.
