Seniority lets you pick the days you fly. Scheduling builds a trip a month or two out and you bid it. Come the week you're going to fly it it's gone. Totally off the schedule, delayed three days on the other side of the planet, you're on the other side of the planet because Scheduling yanked you off your trip because someone called in sick/fatigued, whatever.

Is there a posting of the upcoming class dates available for review?

Actually, on the 767, except for AMC, the routes never change and the lines tend to stay the same. It's Scheduling that screws it up. Not unheard of to raid a reserve from TPE to cover AMC in Europe, but a lot more rare than the 747. My 747 schedule changed almost every time I landed.

TPE reserve is what you'd want. But I would hope you would wait till you could bid it instead of calling the company to make a deal that only benefits you.

11/29 767 and 12/5 747, I believe. They told a recurrent class a class of 12 on the 767 every three weeks for the foreseeable future, but the 747 hasn't had a class in a while, I could see that spinning up as well.

Word. My schedule hasn't changed in a long, long time on the 767. I bid mostly Asia. My seniority is about halfway up at CVG, very close to the captain.

One more reason to forget Atlas Air. The company negotiators said today that they want to eliminate the gateway travel policy from any new contract and I assume this includes a hotel room in your base before and after a trip. So no airline ticket from your home to your base. Good luck jump seating to ANC!!!!
They just keep pouring gas on this dumpster fire of an airline.

The mind boggles at the lack of imagination and predictable tactics these Harvard MBA bozos keep rolling out. It's truly laughable that Connie Kalitta has turned out to be the only visionary in the market. He was out hustling deals in a bar while these clowns were studying for the bar. Truly pathetic that they think the pilots will cower to their tactics. Business men take care of business and negotiate with their largest employee group. Lawyers hide and try to make the courts do their job but pocket millions pretending to be business men.

Seniority gets you days off. Thats it. 20 year guy works 17 and so does the new hire. Scheduling can take the nice 80 hour line you bid and within day 1 or 2, wipe it out to min guarantee and you have ZERO ability to do anything about it. Oh! I forgot, you can volunteer more days on top of the 17-19 already and work overtime to get yourself back to that 80 hour line.

thats a status quo violation... they (mngmt) have been warned already.

If they do nothing, we can walk when we feel its the right time.

Although one would think that removing coffee from the GAM would be a major status quo violation, it apparently is not. So no walking, yet.

They will probably violate the contract soon enough, though.
