The lawsuits have begun. Atlas is hiring.
Thanks, Jackstraw. I somehow got a bad copy on the URL.

What does she know that others don't know? It seems presumptuous to go straight for the operator when there has been no conclusive evidence, at this point, that fault can be leveraged against anyone. However, should she have her day in court then there will undoubtedly be some accountability coming from Purchase...

Let me caution that posts on this topic could earn you a trip to court.

I can't blame her for wanting to get out ahead of things before any sort of corruption possibly destroys evidence. It wouldn't shock me if her lawyer has access to information that we don't. This is going to get very ugly for Atlas. It just is.

It’s called an insurance policy. I think Atlas will be just fine.

Just received offers from Western Global and Atlas, only have a few days to decide. Could use some honest and useful input.

Atlas 747 or WG MD-11. Plenty of total time and Turbine PIC. Thoughts? Endless contract negotiations and horrible conditions at Atlas along with schedule seem to be my main deterrents. I understand name recognition and job stability is huge however.

Thoughts? Thank you gentlemen.

How long do you plan to stay at either airline?

People leave WG to come to Atlas. If things work out, Atlas could still be a better long term plan. But you have to understand the mine field you are entering at Atlas.

If you had an offer at K4, I would say take it.

No K4, and I've read a fair amount of the threads. Plenty of friends at Atlas and WG. Many on 767 / 747 for Atlas.

Leaning towards Atlas seeing as I don't mind working extra for some pay. Probably stay until Delta or Southwest offers come (probably 5-8 years on a conservative estimate). Heavy type and international experience can never hurt.

I suppose I just don't want to go into Atlas blind and find any strongly sickening info too late. Care to hit me with some mines I'll be dodging? Besides the whipsaw and contract negotiations. If Atlas wants to keep Amazon a contract is inevitable and I imagine will be Kalitta pay at minimum for industry standard.

The only mine you’ll be dodging is Atlas if you go gain employment somewhere else. Anything else we can do for you?

You absolutely can NOT count on working overtime at Atlas as a new hire. Everything at Atlas is feast or famine and subject to change at any moment.

Some of us are trying to remain optimistically hopeful, but I would only come to Atlas as a last resort at this point.

From a pilot's perspective, the CEO and his right hand man are committing corporate suicide. They have squandered 100's of good pilots and now have a wrongful death lawsuit on their hands. Some of the participants will be lucky is they avoid criminal charges.
