No updates for this month - no vacancy award while the training department tries to play catch up.
Hard to say. 5+ for the 767. Probably the same same for the -400 and 777.

You have to understand we have nearly 2000 First Officers out of 3000 pilots. It’s possible a new hire may never see the left seat without substantial growth.

we have 10 year FO’s planning their next move. I wouldn’t come to Atlas thinking your getting in the left seat anytime soon.

People will still upgrade here. Whether it's 3 years or 7 years depends on a number of factors. The only way people never upgrade is if they choose not to or we face an ABX scenario. This is always a possibility but there aren't signs of it just yet.

"ABX scenario" do you mean DHL dropping 75% of their flying and all their US domestic freight causing an 80% RIF at ABX in 2009 and parking 100 aircraft? Lets hope not.

That's exactly what I mean. Worst-case scenarios for us are better than that since we're diversified. I'm not saying it can't all go to pot. While there are signs of an economic slowdown, I don't see thee quarters of the airline disappearing anytime soon.

True, diversified in this market may seem to help. Purple is having a few tremors while Brown was smart with their “Better not Bigger” approach it seems. Cost Control is a major factor along with a strong customer base (contracts). Always better than being at the forefront of the public pendulum, granted we’re just a few notches below the snowball at times.

Tried searching the threads, apologies if this has already been covered.

We actually don't do any flying out of LAL on any of the fleets. If we were to start, then yes you would get transportation with a car service over to Lakeland.

tampa base has no Tampa flying, or Tampa overnights. The old saying is, want overnights in a base, don’t be based there.

Just curious ... under what kind of scenario would a pilot hired today see an upgrade in 3 years? Could it actually happen under the current growth forecast or is there some growth plan that has yet to be announced?

People leave the 737 all the time creating vacancies there.
