No, I believe authorization for that is still pending.
They’ll send you to a local place around MIA to take your practical test.

Hello! I received an offer at Atlas back in early November after interviewing in the late October, early Novemberish timeline. I still have yet to receive a class date. While I’m not in a huge rush, this timeline seems to be taking too long. Does anyone at the company have any insight? I have other offers at ACMIs and fractionals that have class dates coming soon. I’ve asked a few times about an update but they still told me to keep waiting.

If it was me, I'd reach out. I understand being a little reticent to pester anyone before you are on property. You have a real life with real consequences for action, inaction and perpetual delay. If nailing down a specific start date costs you a job, you have to wonder what you're really losing. You could always take another position and make a decision when a class date is offered to you, but that comes with some fallout too.

I am in the exact same boat MooseDog, I get the sense that they are backed up at least until the summer. If there is a pool forming I think they should at least tell us that. The lack of comms is not a good sign.

Post Upgrade Time

Is there any information available on approximate upgrade times at Atlas by airframe?

Junior Captains: 747-1/17, 777-1/19, 767-8/17, 737-12/19

777 is misleading though as Southern upgraded several just prior to the merger that probably would not have been able to upgrade after the merger. Not sure what the most recent bid award junior captain was for it.

For the record, Scott L of Atlas posted the vacancies for Southern at that time. It wasn’t some backroom deal that Southern snuck through.

And for the record, I'm not saying that anything shady went on pre-merger. I'm just pointing out to someone who is not on property to not expect to upgrade on the 777 in less than 4 years.
