2. You'll be back soon enough to update your entertainment logbook. I'm sure there are some good places in MSP and TOL if you look hard enough.
Glass is still 1/2 - 2/3 full.

The latest award is out...
The pilot group hired 4 people into the 767 and shrunk from 1026 to 1022.
The 747 FO slots shrunk by 17 slots. They're going to be hurting for 747 FOs next month because they can't afford to let the 767 guys bid over. Expect no base movement on the 747 until the 767 is properly staffed.
20 new hire spots all on the 767 to CVG. They only have 60 of 80 positions filled so expect hiring to be pretty continuous. In reality they probably need 40 to 50 767 spots to cover for attrition, retirements and the eventual release of 767 seat locks.
16 guys upgraded to 767 Captain. Congrats! 3 to JFK and 13 to CVG.
I'm guessing that we lost 2 last month to attrition. Our FO numbers shrunk by 18 and we had 16 upgrades so the math works out. I'm expecting attrition to slow the next 6 weeks thanks to the holidays.
The junior Captain was hired 26 April 2010.
Cheers!

I counted 14 on the 767 in CVG and 2 in JFK. There are 7 names at the bottom of the CVG bid but there are a total of 14 guys with an "FO" as their previous seat in CVG and 2 in JFK. Some of those may be guys out on Mil leave and were on the previous one for whatever reason.

I'm pretty sure I know this answer but I'll ask anyway - I just reviewed the CBA. When my vacation award overlaps my scheduled pattern is vacation pay (3.65) paid above min guarantee like hostile area pay or is it part of the min guarantee calculation?
IOW if I work 7 days and have 7 vacation days then that's below 62hrs.
4.85 x 7 + 3.65 x 7 = 59.5 so I get paid 62 hrs.
