If you've ever flown domestic overnight freight, an airline schedule doesn't work very well, because you have to switch back and forth from days to nights and vice-versa....this takes like 3 days..... one cycle per month is enough, just assure one is "in rest" long enough to go home for the mid-trip weekend. A two-week trip per month (not 17days) would help retention....

And the assumption on your part is that retention is goal they want to achieve or even strive for?!!

Well, I suppose AAWW already owns a 737 or two so who knows. In other news the most recent DAL class has 5 former atlas pilots in it.....and they are soon increasing to 115/month. Keep those apps updated folks!

DL, and for that matter UA nor AAG have a TPIC requirement.

FX and SWA do.

Off Topic: Fitness centers
In Riga both Radisson Hotels have good gyms. The one in the Radisson BLU Latvija is much better. At check-in you will get a pass for one free use of the facility. However for hotel guests the facility if free from 0600-0900. If your in before 0900 you're good to go. Be sure to go down to the pool and spa area. The wet sauna has the mint scent. Good for clearing your sinus - instantly. And the staff really attentive, helpful and will definitely motivate you for that extra rep or mile. Either hotel is the same distance from Old Town. The rooms on the Daugava are bigger but the fitness facility in the Latvija is better.

Radisson Latvija: Theres also a good karaoke bar downstairs or the bar on the roof. Either is fun.

You should add that to the IBT Forum for location gouge.

More fun info:
For those who know the Austailian watch shop in HKG, after going there go upstairs to the SAA Camera shop owned/operated by Koos PC Cheng. Look for the South african flag. Small electronics store that only sells to aircrew. Good prices and best of all free drinks. Be has an entire fully stocked bar - free of charge. Before shipping he insisted we have some drinks and chat. While there some Catjay folks walked in just to drink and we all sat around for about 30-40 minutes before shopping. They vouched for all the photos on the walls and his shop quality.
