Quite frankly, I enjoyed reading your post flyinturbo. Matter of fact, I read it twice! Your tenacity paid off which is testament to the fact that whatever your mind conceives, you can achieve. Welcome aboard and do keep up the good fight. And yes, crickets do live on this site as well lol...it does get quiet from time-to-time. I think in this case its due to the postings relating to the suspension of interviews till 2015. Nonetheless, we are all here with you and for each other...even when it seems quieter than usual

Try the glass-half-full approach...it works, if only for one's own sanity!!

I did not "win" in the sense that my ballot did not mirror the result. But the results as a whole show that the majority has spoken, they were not afraid to split their votes and that they want pragmatic leadership. IMO
The elected leadership has my fully support. More importantly, every fellow union member has my full support.

Any guesses as to when us new hires may be able to hold JFK 767? From reading this thread, it sounds like you're more likely to be flown to the a/c somewhere other than JFK on your first day of work. Is that correct?

Yes, I went through JFK three times in my two years based there. You'll see some base swapping when they open positions on the 747 and guys jump over, but as to when a new hire could hold it, that's anybody's guess.
