Oct. 07 Interview
Had my interview on Oct. 07. Everything went pretty much as advertised. Everyone was very friendly and made me feel at ease. Was told we would hear if we're hired or not on Friday probably. We were told they were hiring primarily for Dec., Jan., and Feb. classes and there was a chance one spot would open in the Oct. class and one spot in the Nov. class due to military deployments, but not guaranteed. Fingers crossed!!

Hey Guys,
I am down in Miami for recurrent and a little info we have been told. They plan on hiring into the summer of next year. It is all going to be 76 because of the expansion of that fleet and the seat locks lifting on the guys on that fleet now.
We had a new hire dinner and Jeff Carlson said we had one of the busiest summer seasons ever, which is good news too.
Also on the hiring process, they said they usually know that Friday whom is going to get a call. They have a meeting afterward while everything is fresh! Hope this sheds some light on the process and good luck to all!

The 2nd and 3rd classes were released on Oct. 1st, another 20 pilots. Most want to jump, but a few of us want to stay put.
However, if the company decides to run a vacancy award on the 15th of this month, only the first class is eligible, as the bid snapshot is taken on the 31st. Thus a few more new hires could go directly to the 747. After Oct., any 747 new hire slots go to released 767 pilots first. Additional 767 classes will be released in March, April and July.

Thanks for the info. I was just curious since this will effect folks looking to move out of ANC and other bases since those hired prior to Jan 2013 be senior to many 747 FOs. I think the last class was about Jan 2013.
CaptainV: For those staying on the 767 and not moving do you think they're staying to wait for more seniority on the 747? It would seem their QoL for base preference and schedule would be much better if they remain on the 767 and a great deal of folks above them move over to the 747. In addition to that I find it interesting that there could be a few new hires on the 747 due to 767 folks remaining on the 767.

I know everyone in my spot is anxiously awaiting the call. I've reread the email 10 times to make sure I didn't miss anything. As far as I can see, I take the test, email a new resume to HR and email the NHPS form to the NHPS address. No need to call/email and make sure that all came in, right?
