Atlas Air Hiring

Test complete! There were a good number of questions I hadn't seen recently in my study, but with some fast searching I was able to find almost everything. I'll be jumping at the phone every time it rings.
Speaking of which, work doesn't always allow me to jump at the phone every time it rings. Those who've missed calls: do they leave a number and you square it away soon, or do you lose your place in line and wait for another call?
Thanks so much to all who assisted! I feel worn out but elated. I plan to PM everyone who PMed me, but thanks to those who gave info here as well.

Also, just a heads up, for anyone that gets interviewed and/or gets hired and stays at the Marriott complex in Miami, DO NOT USE YOUR PERSONAL CREDIT CARD for anything unless you absolutely must (especially at champions, catch of the day, or the even the hotels themselves).
Almost every pilot I've talked to has had fraudulent charges placed on their card while in Miami. To me, it happened during the interview and once during training.
Use cash in Miami, the hotel area is full of crooks and fraudsters.

lonestar, sorry that happened to you. i hope your interview went well and you get good news soon!
yes, there has been more than a rash of credit card theft/fraud reported on the atlas union website so please use caution while you are there for interviews or training.

Had my interview on Oct. 07. Everything went pretty much as advertised. Everyone was very friendly and made me feel at ease. Was told we would hear if we're hired or not on Friday probably. We were told they were hiring primarily for Dec., Jan., and Feb. classes and there was a chance one spot would open in the Oct. class and one spot in the Nov. class due to military deployments, but not guaranteed. Fingers crossed!!

Hey Guys,
I am down in Miami for recurrent and a little info we have been told. They plan on hiring into the summer of next year. It is all going to be 76 because of the expansion of that fleet and the seat locks lifting on the guys on that fleet now.
We had a new hire dinner and Jeff Carlson said we had one of the busiest summer seasons ever, which is good news too.
Also on the hiring process, they said they usually know that Friday whom is going to get a call. They have a meeting afterward while everything is fresh! Hope this sheds some light on the process and good luck to all!

The 2nd and 3rd classes were released on Oct. 1st, another 20 pilots. Most want to jump, but a few of us want to stay put.
However, if the company decides to run a vacancy award on the 15th of this month, only the first class is eligible, as the bid snapshot is taken on the 31st. Thus a few more new hires could go directly to the 747. After Oct., any 747 new hire slots go to released 767 pilots first. Additional 767 classes will be released in March, April and July.
