I interviewed yesterday with 9 other gentlemen. HR told us that e-mails would be sent to candidates within 2 weeks. She told us that we would get 1 of 3 statements in that e-mail. 1. Hired immediately; 2. Pooled for a future class; or 3. Not interested

Bit of a change, used to be either a FedEx or UPS letter. And contrary to urban legend, one place didn't mean a "yes" and other didn't mean a "no".

CaptainV: For those staying on the 767 and not moving do you think they're staying to wait for more seniority on the 747? It would seem their QoL for base preference and schedule would be much better if they remain on the 767 and a great deal of folks above them move over to the 747. In addition to that I find it interesting that there could be a few new hires on the 747 due to 767 folks remaining on the 767.
I prefer CVG because I hardly ever get schedule changes on DHL trips, and I still like short legs and lots of landings. I like having my first choice on my work footprint, training and vacations. After 3 years, we could be senior in ANC (not even if you paid me), 50% in HSV, bottom third in CVG, bottom 10% everywhere else, but can't hold IAH. Other than HSV/CVG, i don't see base seniority getting tons better.
Beyond a November 747 class, I don't think you'll see any new hires going to the 747 for a long while. And honestly, the company should offer the slots to the guys hired in Oct. 2011, we've put our time in.

Who cares when they run the vacancy bid; if our seatlock is expired before the announced training date shouldnt those be awarded the transition? For me, i love the seniority and schedule on the 767, but it is hard to pass up an extra $20k... Also, i live in Cincy so hoping DHL on the 747 wont be to bad!

Maybe I'm misreading this, but under the CBA section 24.K.8 all seat locks are off if a new plane is announced. So you could jump to the 747 and then bid the 777 a few months later. Assuming that white elephant ever materializes.

Only if you are moving from a lower paid plane to a higher. 767 with seat locks can go to 777 but 747 with seat lock can not go to 777

It is not clear if the vacancy bid/snapshot is the reference date for award vs seat lock, or class date. It is not clear in the contract and up to how the company wants to play the game. When we see how they play, we will then argue one way or the other.

You would think. But if the snapshot is taken on September 31, we weren't released and they could sneak some more new hires in there. Again, I hope they choose to give the option to those that have been waiting for three years.
