Did he get a pool letter? I thought he got something more vague. Maybe I need to quadruple read another sixteen times? 🤔

So you’ve managed to plug that website in pretty much every post you’ve made.
You own it by any chance?

Letting people wait for months on end without news then letting them start training with months of delay is a good way to get them to apply and get hired elsewhere.
Now you’re going to tell me next that they didn’t want to work at Atlas badly enough.

Me again, no there was no information passed about a pool or any information about how long a delay will be. I had two emails and a phone call ignored. I really do want to work at Atlas and will continue to email and call. I just hope my persistence will not be viewed negatively. I would wait patiently except I am a forced retirement (Federal LEO) at 57 so I have a time restraint. Even a little information would go a long way.

I know at this point during the Corporate Presentation the potential delays are in fact mentioned. Also discussed in the interviews. Both the delay in onboarding and the delays in training (which vary). There is a definite adjustment in hiring and training to allow the system to catch up. There are also a lot of transitions and some upgrades which will take up a lot of resources. Hiring will definitely slow down for at least a few months. We hired around 850 in 2022 and the attrition stands at around 450. This makes for quite a strain on the school house.

If you want to send me a PM, I can get you a concrete answer, especially if your HR contact is not responding. The Onboarding crew has a pretty decent reputation from new hires that I have talked to recently.

Last guy I talked to who worked in training in MIA (in Nov), said the Atlas goal for 2023 hiring was 1000 new hires. I don't think they can do that, as they probably don't have the capacity.

Simply not true, there are already a significant amount of folks in training and already in the pool for the first quarter.

Projections for hiring in 2023 are significantly lower then the 850 in 2022. That being said, plans change rapidly around here.

Simply because someone “works in training” does not mean they have the straight scoop.

10-1-21 Seniority list and 08-10-22 shows a net gain of 133 of pilots on the line.
I’m considering that none hired after Aug have made it to the line yet.
Hiring 600 and having a net gain of 150 makes that a bleak number.

That snap shot only covers a period where in the beginning of it we had about 60 leaving a month which were mostly the COVID refugees that were going to leave anyways most likely. Then, at the end of that snapshot it only covers a few months of when the E3 recruiting really started in earnest.

If you take a look at the 09/22 list to the 11/22 list it was a net increase of 100 pilots. I think the December list will show a continued trend. However, it's only a matter of time for major hiring to ramp up even more and the amount of eligible E3 candidates deplete. The sudden stinginess of XXX travel is not helping their cause either.

Management is probably looking pretty favorably toward the numbers but they are going to get themselves in the same situation all over again if their only strategy is hope for a recession.
