Atlas Air Hiring

I doubt it. They've been telling us that 767 classes will continue for a while, and it certainly appears we've been late to staff the four airplanes coming next month. That, plus now they say they take swimmers in order, should make it a short paddle, hopefully.

Was just in MIA for a PT and sounds like they are going to increase class size to 12 and might be running two per month.
Any word on when the first 737 class will be, now that DHL wants to add 40 737s for domestic ops.

Not to mention 2nd year FO pay actually goes down. Good luck keeping that seat filled...

For you young pups it may make sense (as it currently exists in our CBA) to take the left seat though...if you don't have too much PIC time (say less than a 1,000 that is required at DL or FDX?)...just sayin'!!

I don't think pay goes down, while it still isn't great, hourly pay actually stays the same until year 3. Section 32 para B1, last sentence...

I'd bid over to the left seat of the 737 so that I could get typed in the left seat and get some PIC time. There are a ton of young guys who lack the PIC time to make them competitive for the majors. Having PIC time in the C-17, the 737, and a 747 or 767 type would make that resume look pretty good. It'd be a little bit of a pay cut, but it'd be worth it.
