Navy guys need not apply.....

Kidding but I disagree with the signature

I've heard continued growth due to more aircraft coming on property and we have a fairly senior pilot group. But as you said things can change....

Thanks Waldo. I'll keep updating monthly and see what happens. The story behind the signature is I am in a joint squadron of Navy, Air Force and Marine pilots, and it's the signature I use on my emails at work. It's all in good fun as it provokes a lot of thoughtful responses.

Would buying a B744 type rating help?

FWIW....

I just received a call today from Atlas HR regarding my interest. Unfortunately I declined at this time due to other employment obligations and opportunities.

Background:

-sent in resume April 2010
-just left AD Navy
-ATP / 737 type (no experience)
~2000 hours (mostly Jet PIC, EA-6B, F/A-18)

- ZERO internal references
- ZERO "heavy" / cargo experience

Keep the faith!

So what better deal do you have?

After leaving AD I started a Reserve gig with the Navy flying C-9s and just finished my training a few weeks ago and will be going in that direction.

For me the 737 was part of a ATP/737 package deal. I only flew TACAIR in the Navy and I wanted to get a feel for "big wing" flying before I committed to leaving AD for airline/cargo flying.

Good luck in your pursuit of Atlas, they sound like a nice place to call "home."

Hi!

Latest is next class in Oct, and then starting up again in Jan, one class every 3 weeks....
Also heard just got an ex-UAL airframe for dedicated PAX flying.

Thanks for the info Cub. I'm encouraged by your info. For me it's a matter of timing when I leave active duty next year. What VR squadron are you in?
