Atlas Air Hiring

I think the differences training that you were told is likely transition training for 742 Captains and FOs to go to 744...
Good luck with the swim...I'm sure you are going to get a call in the new year.

Took the test last night & I concur with Wolfpack's assessment....WHEW!!! That's a load off, and happily a pass reported on the test summary page. I understand there are interviews in Jan and I hope to buzz on down the Turnpike for a slot!
I went to the EWR job fair in October, where I dropped off my Resume. Got the call to take the test last Monday. Prior non-flying military (Navy Subs) & 9 years in the RJ with one measly year in the left seat...you guessed it....Comair! This has been the best thing to have come my way in my aviation career. I hope it comes to fruition so I can be a part of a fantastic operation! All my friends over there are really loving it!!

Just took the online test. Long ,but a lot you either know or don't, very straight forward. But RTFQ! Several questions seem to be written to check whether you are reading or just jumping at answers. All the info here is right on. Thanks to all for all the information.

Guys,
Your world has now shrunk by a huge factor...imagine taking off from the US and 14 hours later end up in Dubai...imagine taking off from Perth, Australia, and end the day in Johannesburg...or imagine taking off from Santiago, Chile, and making the landing in Auckland, NZ.
That is the way things work at Atlas...the crews, the airplanes, the job, etc are near the top of the pyramid. The company shows promise, the ACMI business is coming along nicely, and management has left no stone unturned looking for new business. Our relationship with management could be better, but show me an Airline v Labor relationship that is cordial.
And what are the alternatives? VX, JB, AA? No thanks...flying 5 legs a day, I'm too lazy for that now!! Ok, I'm a little harsh with the comparison, but you get the point. Unless FDX, SWA, or UPS call you...Atlas might just be the best gig in town.
Good luck.
