for those in the pool and those of us who will not be home next week- everyone have a Merry Christmas and enjoy your time with your families if possible.

So it was posted a little while back that there will be some 767 and 747 vacancies in the near future. For a poolie, any chance of getting a little insight from guys on property on pros and cons of getting one over the other. I know the pay disparity, but thinking more along the lines of qol, type of flying, schedules, etc. ( I think this was also talked about briefly on this thread, but can't seem to find it) thank you.

The only other advantage is the 744F and the 748F make work easier: climate-controlled bunks, more space to DH or eat.
Other than that, the company owns you 17 days a bid period. It's all the same for everyone. You might have a period of great schedules, but it'll be your turn in the barrel eventually.

Agree totally with JerrySpringer...
However, given one over the other, my recommendation is to take the first one that is offered...seniority is more important than getting hung up on a personal preference.
Maybe others can chime in if they know of anyone that declined one fleet over the other, and then was called back for a class later...Regardless, seniority is more important than anything else. If you want the job, take it and then worry about fleet type.
When they ask you during the interview (and they might), or even when they call you while you are swimming...
1. Tell them what you think with an honest answer, but without missing a beat,
2. Tell them that you'd be happy in either fleet...
