This rumor was started by a guy that was unhappy with some things that went on two weeks ago. He is putting a slate together to run against the current group. As I said earlier, campaigning BS! Nuff said, back to the hiring thread!
What are the back up flight requirements? What's that all about?

How is changing gateway not a QOL issue for the majority of the group? If you are confirming that this talk is going on, will we get to vote on it?

The union's position is that there are no contractual backup flight requirements. For them to fight the company's use of backups does not require an LOA/membership vote.

Disclaimer: I am not an official union spokesperson.

Why would we vote on something that is fixing a problem without any give back!??!! The company is tired of battles on every gateway arrangement, SO they're working on a win-win policy. Voting is not free. We elected these guys to represent us, let them!

Because they way I read the contract, it doesn't require a back up flight. If we are going to sign something saying we need a back up flight thsn that is a concession in most eyes. Am I interpreting this rumor wrong? I'm not in the know or the union like you guys obviously are.

There are no concessions coming. How you and I read it is different than how the lawyers read it. Stand by.

Should I grill steak or chicken tonight for the family?...please take a vote among yourselves and let me know...

On second thought, it doesn't affect you, so nevermind...I'll make a decision for myself.

Because there is no reason for concessions at this time. Makes no sense. Use some logic instead of just spreading/believing bull!
