Lol I flew for the most “intoxicating” carriers out there. I fly a turn, come home and spend quality time with my friends and family. The company has been more than accommodating and is willing to help, which is weird to me. We’ve got true professionals, especially on the operations side ie. MX and DX.

Pay is not competitive and rumors of a bump to be more competitive have been rumbling. Coming from someone living in base, living on this “fly where you live, live where you fly” mentality, I can assure you that I made the right decision. My QOL rn is unparalleled.

We let anyone on the jumpseat; reciprocated JSA or not.

As said, anyone can Jumpseat. HOWEVER, I have heard mixed remarks that if you do not have a reciprocal agreement, then you may not be able to Jumpseat in the cockpit if the flight is full. And TPA-SDF is a route that is full quite often.

The issue lies in CASS. Even though AA is in CASS, because AA will not sign an agreement with us, the AA system does not provide the AA employee CASS verification information to the Breeze CASS system for verification.

We have catching up to do, yes, but our last CBA was a huge (43%) step forward. Our DC is 15% and top CA pay (like category) is within $20/hr of yours once our 321 override is factored in (265 vs 285).

Hardly a race to the bottom

True. To be a race you have to have somebody else racing with you. Breeze is just simply at the bottom, no race needed.

I am glad you think every airline startup should start pilot wages at JB or Delta pay levels. Makes a lot of sense…. How about you give them some time to first break even and then address wage gaps. If Breeze wants to lose experienced pilots it won’t bump up wages. People will leave if wages remain low long term. But don’t expect it overnight with a startup.
