Should be very interesting to see how they use the A220 considering it’s range flexibility and low break even load factor… And dang it do look good in blue:

Can’t wait to see it on the line soon.
Yes, Technically there is a 3 year equipment lock. However, we just got our own sims for both planes, and the likelihood of that 3 year lock going away or being reduced is relatively high, especially once those sims are online later in 2022.

Should be spotted in TPA in the first week of November.

Is sim training to be moved to TPA? Are they actually doing a commuting/housing stipend for all bases as well?

For those who haven’t seen the latest announcement from today on the layout of the A220 at Breeze - the size of the premium cabin surprised me….

https://simpleflying.com/breeze-firs...-a220-premium/

Should be interesting to see where these A220s are ultimately deployed….

No the training will be done in SLC. Eventually I am sure we will have a Jetblue Style campus in the SLC area. Doubt it will be anywhere south.

I was saying the plane itself will be spotted in TPA first week of November.

It’s a game changer, the business model is genius. Their biggest hurdle will be staffing the airplanes for growth.

Another good overview of the A220 product for those who are interested:

https://simpleflying.com/breeze-airb...-300-interior/

Not a surprise, but it looks likes Breeze will aim at transcon routes for the A220 where premium seating will be appreciated on longer flights. Quite a different product with the premium seats vs Spirit, Southwest and Frontier which all fly low-cost transcon flights with bare-bones amenities.

I thought it was interesting that they can remove first class seats and put in coach seats very quickly, like on overnight maintenance. Wonder if they will do that much?
