how does the bidding work? I have 3700tt 800121 time and 900hours of creditable time from a 135 operator, is the upgrade requirements based on the 121 min?

17 days on the road straight isn’t common unless you bid that type of line. Which there weren’t many of them. They usually gone senior as well. Looking more like 6 to 10 days on. Mostly day time flying, 1 to 2 legs per day. The main drawback of the 737 was the pay.

With major communication (crew scheduling, payroll) issues, paychecks being incorrect often, no real movement on common pilot issues, disregard for the pilot playbook, inconsistent and rapid schedule changes with you guessed it.... no prior communication and a half-sincere "sorry" from the company (January in CHS), no stock incentives as the company heads toward IPO, and increasing wages and established ops at other airlines (not just regionals/majors), why do pilots choose to stay at Breeze? This is a genuine question - looking for genuine answers. Is the QOL really not that bad? Do most pilots live in base? Pay? Thanks!

Every airline
iflyufly, every airline is (or has for sure) the same problems you have described. If you join a start-up, these things are inevitable. Southwest had a ton of problems when they first started, go read nuts or that book about the history of the airline business. Remember Braniff, Eastern and Pan Am-Gone!
I can’t figure out why people complain about the very thing they get involved in knowing the looooonnnng history and act surprised by it. If you think the grass is greener ANYWHERE you’d be mistaken. AA has so much debt, they’re next I’m telling you. Delta you say, just went through some tough labor issues. United just signed another agreement with a regional. Did someone say scope? Oh no Breeze is the worst, not even close! Wait till the next big war or disease when you get a 33% pay cut, thrown on the street AND the airlines beg for more bail out. What a skipping record honestly. So, you either know what you’ve gotten yourself into or you live under a rock either way stop whining about it. It’s been like this for like 90 years in this business. Go to medical school if you have the acumen. Not an attack just a reality check. |

Despite the problems, almost every other Major is a better option and provides more stability then Breeze. Although I am sure your Union is working hard to improve things.....oh wait |

your assertion is ridiculous when it comes to the opportunities available at this particular time. No offense. But the username checks ✔️ |

What do you mean oh wait? ALPA was voted in. There’s tons of options out there definitely but the ones coming to breeze have specific reasons like seniority or bases. Me personally I don’t feel like going back down to the bottom and being a number again at the big corporations. Yea there’s seniority movement even at the legacies now but they probably can’t beat the seniority movement here either. Pay rates at least are acceptable, we are at least frontier/spirit pay but improvements coming. With the recent pay raises at delta and JetBlue and I’m sure others coming soon, they will have to increase compensation again if they want to have pilots for all the planes coming.
I find it fascinating that so many people come on the Breeze forum and try and convince Breeze pilots that it’s so bad. This is my third airline, and BY FAR the best QOL and money for the little amount of work it is. All we do is fly an airplane for a job. You think I’d be better off 1 or 2 leg commuting to some giant city I don’t wanna even be in, overnighting places I don’t want to overnight, and flying with old crusty captains I don’t want to fly with? All for what? Maybe 5 years down the road “break even” to what I’m making now?? Where will breeze be at by then? What if the age 70 law passed? How’s all that seniority list movement gonna look for you at UAL/DAL/AA? Guess what, I’ve seen it first hand to a family member when it went to 65, you’re gonna stagnate. For a LONG time. I’ll never come on here and say someone went wrong for going to a legacy, but let’s keep our head out of our as$es and understand all we do is fly a plane for a living. You think making 275k a year, rather than 250k is really gonna push you over the edge? |

You can’t argue with people on APC. Just let them act like they are getting the win in the argument and move on. I remember sitting standby reserve in the crew room, commuting and being away from home 15+ nights a month. You gotta do something to make yourself “feel” superior.
