That really depends on the operator. My present employer, no slouch, was happy to accept my single engine turbine time. Another operator classified my four-engine bomber experience the same as a Cessna 172...because it was all piston. Go figure. Both major 121 players making those calls.
We're talking about today. Back in the mid 1980's AA only required 700 hr MEL. That was the only requirement. Guy showed up with more than that in single engine fighter time. Only 230-250 hrs MEL (T-37, T-38, T-38A). "You don't have 700 hrs MEL? Why are you here?" "You called me in." He said "you're concerned about me dealing with complexity? I've flown the A-7 and F-16 in single pilot, low altitude, penetration flying. It's considered some of the hardest flying out there. If you don't hire me I'll go back to flying the F-16 and will never get 700 hrs multi-engine." They hired him. Retired as a 777 CKA. Nice, and sharp, guy.

When I got hired they considered my glider time. It had nothing to do with getting hired however. It's the time that want to see that matters. Showing up with 5000 TT, 2000 TPIC MEL time, 4000 MEL, and 500 SEL TPIC? The SEL TPIC is logged, it exists, but it has no factor on getting you called in for an interview.
