THE CRJ COURSE IS WORTHLESS when it comes to getting hired, like someone said it might even hurt you if you don't know your stuff and they start to ask you questions on it. It may help you in training if you are a little slow and can't grasp flying a high performance jet like most professional pilots can. ATP sold you the lie that this would help you get hired. You bought into it without doing any of your own research.

Yes Eagle did at one point send some of its new hires through ATP's RJ course prior to initial training, these were low time pilots who they identified as training risks. BACK DURING THE BOOM, if you had already paid for it yourself that meant they didn't have to, so they took you with low time, but remember that LOW TIME was all that was available out there. Today they have the pick of the litter. You need 6000 pilots hired just to wipe out the furloughed guys121/135 guys, then you have maybe 8000 (random figure) instructors that have been instructing for the past 2-3 years waiting for the chance. They have real expirence not bought experience like you.

So once again you got taken when they sold you the RJ couse. If you can't get your money back, too bad. It may help you in training someday if you get put in an RJ, but it will not help you get a job. Sorry.
Ok man again I'm not asking for opinions on my rj course you can think what you like if you don't want to answer my question about minimums then don't reply I don't understand d why you are trying to convince me it was useless I don't care if that's what you thin lol so please stay on topic

Not once have I argued anyones opinion on what the minimums will be soon
I have only argued about the rj course which you can say was useless all day cause i m done responding about it all I'm asking about is the minimums

You threw the CRJ course experience out there as part of your resume. Most of us think it won't help you get hired these days. You want an opinion on hiring, you'll get one. You gotta take the good with the bad. Best case, some wannabe reads this while trying to educate himself and saves a few grand.

Also, when you start saying 'well, I think..." to a bunch of guys who have been there or are there as current 121 guys, we don't care what you think because you have no experience in that realm. It would be like me telling some boat Captain(think Deadliest Catch) what I think about XYZ since I've taken ASA 101 and 103 and sailed a 36 foot sloop.

An RJ course might be SLIGHTLY beneficial during new-hire training if you are training on an RJ.

But there is no possible way in hell it is worth thousands of dollars...unless you are such a bad pilot that you need every possible advantage to survive airline training. If that's the case, you have no business in professional aviation anyway, go get a real job and fly ASEL on the weekends for fun...but be careful.

asa- 1500/300
comair- 1000/ 200 atp preferred
expressjet- ? somewhere in the area of others
PSA- 1500/500
republic airways- 2000/500
ae- 1000/ 200
awac- 1500/ 500

doing simple math I come to the conclusion that you NEED ATLEAST 600TT and 60 more multi what your 'sitting' at now to get you app to go through. don't hold your breathe at 500tt/ mins or the manbearpig will have to save you.

try to be helpful though i need some advice
Then listen to other's advice whether you like or not. Some of them have been in your shoes.

As far as your RJ course goes read this article:
http://flighttraining.aopa.org/magaz...reer_Tips.html

That article also gives a couple tips on ways you can make yourself more competitive.

Anyone can go out in buy block hours, but why don't you find quality flying that you can actually gain different experience from. Teaching is a good start. I have a feeling they don't just look at the number of hours, but what you did to get those hours. Think in ways to make yourself more competitive that way.

Now that this bill has passed the senate and el presidente sign the bill this weekend its gonna 1500tt and an ATP across the board... And once this hits an RJ course is gonna worth ZERO at an interview, because now you have to go out and spend another 2000$ on an ATP.

My little advise...

What if....just my thought...WHAT IF THEY HIRE YOU??? did you realize you probably will stuck forever in the right seat because you don't have the enough PIC time to get into the Captain seat????

That's all I have to say... my recommendation is stay as a CFI, found a 135 job when you can and try to have at least!!! 1,000hrs as PIC.
