Not too many airlines will hire you with zero hours on type.

Maybe that money would be better spent on accumulating the right kind of times, i.e. multi, CFII, MEI, XC, etc?

I bought my type rating in 737... Enjoyed every minute of it. No regrets.

So...you enjoyed it. Are you flying a 737 now or get a job from it? If not, go ride a roller coaster to enjoy it and save the money.

If its just about flying an airliner sim, go buy some time for an interview prep.

Have not applied anywhere yet. Took the last year off and have to do a stress test for my medical so it will be another month or so before I start getting current again. Flew blood for too long.

Will be doing interview prep if I go the RJ route, may do it anyway for wherever I end up. Picked up sheppard airs program to brush up with and have been pouring thru the threads for a feel of things....Good thing I love to fly, can honestly say I have not worked a day in 15 years...few days I wished I was on the ground though! lol

Plenty of multi and lotsa single pilot IFR! Was offered street captain years ago but declined, could not make the move at that time.

Why not pick up a corporate copilot gig? I believe the SIC type ratlng is basically three touch and goes and an 8710 sign off you bring to the FSDO.
