American Flyers latest presentation (as of last June) was much better than in past years. I've used the service since 2007 (pay once, good forever). Recommended.

I used acecfi and would highly recommend it. The handle everything and it was a seamless operation. First time using a renewal course and I am glad I chose ace. Highly recommended!

Check out this guy in Houston, if it's not too far. Looks pretty good. Website name is pretty funny at least: cficare.net

Can the American Flyers FIRC be used on an iPad? I saw the ACECFI one can. I'm up for renewal in a couple of months. Thanks.

Gleim has worked great for me. $99 and it only takes 3 hours to complete.

From what I understand, if you DO NOT have MEI you can take the weekend course, pass the checkride for it, and that restores all other CFI Certificates.

Costs $1500-2000 at most places?

I let mine drop years ago. Let some hungry CFI who is more current on all the maneuvers and info do it if you need a CFI for something.

I just completed my renewal on American Flyers and is used my iPad. You take quizzes after each section which are your test. A lot easier I thought.

Thanks. I don't travel with my laptop, only my iPad. I was just hoping I could get this done at the crashpad on reserve in the next month or so.
