Default AA online application question...

Was trying to fill an app for AA and it asks for Total years of CFI Instructor experience and later on in the questionnaire asks for Total years of Full Time Instructor experience. Is there a difference in the two? are they just looking for did you work part time vs full time kind of deal?

Also when filling out the flight grid, you have to list all the ac you have flown with the hours as either PIC or SIC or Instructor etc... However, how would i log the time i had before i got a private pilot certificate? since i was not PIC because i did not have a pilots certificate....

Any help would be appreciated...

Thanks

1. Look at it this way. If you've had a CFI for 4 years, but only used your CFI to instruct for 2 of those years(Part-Time), you'd have 2 different numbers. If you've had a CFI for 4 years, and have instructed that entire time, you'd have the same number.

2. You would log that time as Dual Received since instruction was being given to you. Solo time and x-country time may vary, check the AIM.

Hope this helps a bit,

Centerline

Dual received is to be logged under the SIC column on the AA app.
